Job Description:

This position requires rotational scheduling and on-call coverage upon successful completion of established didactic and clinical requirements, required exams, and the discretion of the OR SCN.

Responsibilities include setting up an operating room before surgery and ensuring all needed equipment and instrumentation is available and in working condition for the scheduled surgical procedure.

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required. Surgical Technologist certification preferred.

Work Environment:

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation, a JCAHO accredited health center, provides services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations.

The hospital was constructed in 1975 with a bed capacity of 73.

Staff:

The staff of medical providers includes surgeons, general medical officers, internal medicine, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family practice physicians, obstetricians, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and urologists.

Dental staff includes general dentists, endodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, pediatric dentists, dental assistants and hygienists.

The nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, community health nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, CRNA, and community health medics.

Position Details:

We work 10s currently. Call is 1 to 2 shifts per week. Techs and Nurses self-schedule.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience
  • 36 minimum guaranteed hours
  • BLS/BCLS certification
