Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense drug orders according to established policies and protocols
  • Interpret and transcribe verbal and written drug orders into patient medication records accurately
  • Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products
  • Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree or BS Pharmacy degree required
  • Hospital experience preferred
  • Pharmacy registration in the State of practice
  • Must have pharmacy State licensure within 60 days of start date
  • BLS or ACLS and PALS (pediatric practice) within 180 days of start date
