Primary Objective:
To efficiently manage the stocking and movement of materials throughout the production process, ensuring all components are organized and accessible to maintain a seamless workflow and meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stocking and Preparation:
    • Prepare and stock tables with all necessary materials for production, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Remove empty carts and pallets, and prepare for the next job as the current one nears completion.
    • Organize carts and manage the Automated Lumber System (ALS) materials for easy access.
    • Maintain order in storage areas, ensuring all items are correctly placed.
    • Keep the workspace organized, only leaving necessary materials in designated areas.
  • Material Handling and Maintenance:
    • Regularly empty scrap and trash bins to uphold a clean work environment.
    • Unload and properly store materials received from freight deliveries.
    • Ensure production areas are clean and maintain equipment for safe operation.
    • Conduct monthly inventory checks to verify stock levels.
  • Process Improvement and Safety:
    • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance material handling and stocking processes.
    • Prioritize safety in all tasks, adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Perform other assigned tasks, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting production goals.

Qualifications:

  • Essential Skills:
    • Proficient in using basic hand tools and understanding design documentation.
    • Able to lift up to 100 pounds consistently throughout the workday.
    • Efficient time management skills to complete tasks promptly.
