Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Graduate Nurse to join our Medical ICU team. As a Graduate Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing direct patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver safe and effective patient care, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations.
- Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
- Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
- Participate in emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients.
- Ensure patient medical records contain necessary information.
- Answer telephones and triage calls as per departmental policy.
- Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights; document and communicate clinical findings.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings, and workshops.
- Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program.
- 1 year of directly related experience.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days.
- RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
