Job Title: Sleep Technician

Join our team at Children's Hospital Colorado as a Sleep Technician, where you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders and sleep-related breathing disorders.

About the Role:

The Sleep Technician 1 is an entry-level position that requires training and guidance in the performance of polysomnographic diagnostic and therapeutic testing and analysis. As a Sleep Technician, you will work closely with sleep clinicians to assist with the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders and sleep-related breathing disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Under instruction and close supervision, educates and interacts with patients and their families during the course of care.
  • Participates in the set up and calibration of monitoring equipment.
  • Performs patient set-up and monitors patient's physiological response during routine testing.
  • Assists in the initiation and titration of therapy (supplemental oxygen and/or nasal positive airway pressure) based upon physician's orders and established sleep center protocols.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with multidisciplinary healthcare providers to provide individualized patient/family care and education.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a BRPT accredited sleep education program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months.
  • Must obtain RPSGT or RRT-SDS credential within 18 months of start date.

The Sleep Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare providers. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
