Position Title: Surgical Technologist - Perioperative Team
Role Overview:
- The Surgical Technologist serves as an integral part of the healthcare team, providing technical support during the perioperative phase under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to established clinical standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Surgical Technician
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in sterile techniques, surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile field preparation, including laser equipment operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of equipment usage and maintenance relevant to the role
- Clinical competencies suitable for the position
- Strong interpersonal abilities
