This company stands as a leader in the heavy-duty truck sector in North America, also recognized for its medium-duty trucks and specialized commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, modify, and maintain hardware and software for PLC, CNC, HMI, and robotic control systems.
- Support and troubleshoot device-level networks.
- Oversee and enhance servo and variable frequency drive systems.
- Implement and manage machining monitoring systems, focusing on integration with higher-level systems.
- Apply control technologies to both new and existing processes to optimize machining solutions.
- Specify and assist in the design of control systems for new machining equipment.
- Provide technical support and assistance to machining operations.
- Collaborate with Skilled Trades, Supervisors, and Process Engineers to diagnose and repair CNC and assembly machining operations.
- Assist Skilled Trades personnel in interpreting technical drawings and OEM documentation to troubleshoot issues and facilitate repairs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field; or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Expertise in manufacturing equipment hardware and software design standards (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, robotics, vision systems).
- Proficient in PC hardware and commonly used software applications.
- Understanding of network and database operations.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Skilled in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings related to facility infrastructure and testing equipment.
Work Environment:
The role primarily involves a standard office setting with typical office conditions. Occasional requirements may arise to work in environments that simulate user conditions for design testing and validation. Travel to various facilities, clients, or suppliers may also be necessary.
