Job Title: Student Worker
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student worker to join our team at the Innevation Center. As a front desk assistant, you will be the first point of contact for all patrons and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, answering questions, and providing information on our services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with our large community of members, including students, faculty, and staff.
- Assist with tours, take payments, log member information, and perform other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the Innevation Center.
- Work closely with the Innevation Center managers to assist with various building operations and event logistics tasks, including room setup, event coordination, and development of services.
- Perform various clerical duties as needed, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno as an undergraduate student.
- Must be enrolled in at least 1 credit.
- Must be able to regularly work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
- Must be able to work onsite.
- Must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, including good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and independent thinking.
- Must enjoy working with people and be detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and reliable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates with experience in customer service, working in a professional office environment, and a fast-paced business environment are encouraged to apply.
- Experience operating audio-visual equipment, such as projectors, speakers, and microphones, and video conferencing equipment is preferred but not required.
Work Schedule:
Expected hours to work per week: 15-25
This position can work up to 25 hours per week during the semester and more during Summer and Winter breaks. Candidate must be able to regularly work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Work times are available Monday-Saturday, with weekend and evening hours available.
Compensation Grade: Student Employee Level 2
Exempt: No
Full-Time Equivalent: 62.5%
