POSITION SUMMARY

The Central Maintenance Technician is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of our manufacturing equipment. This role involves executing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, and programming PLCs. Your technical skills will contribute to our mission of delivering sustainable, high-quality products while ensuring adherence to safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Pre-Employment Screening: Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check.
  • Educational Qualification: A one-year certificate from a college or technical school is required.
  • Experience: At least one year of relevant experience in machinery maintenance.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with machinery maintenance, focusing on engines, motors, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical devices effectively.
  • Familiarity with power supply wiring and conduit installation.
  • Proficient in using metalworking tools such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs to optimize equipment performance.
  • Develop and improve software for PLCs and operator panels.
  • Set up computers and install necessary applications for operations.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and layouts.
  • Perform calculations for wiring and electrical installations.
  • Maintain and repair process control instrumentation.
  • Utilize VFDs, servomotors, and other tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Support scheduled maintenance and report on equipment status.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities.
  • Adhere strictly to standard operating and safety procedures.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Florim USA offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • Starting Pay: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with an additional Night Shift Differential of $3.00 per hour.
  • Benefits commence 30 days after hiring.
