Job Title: Facilities Mechanical Engineer

Location: Aloha, OR

Shift: Night Shift (Compressed shift working)

Overview:

The role involves serving as a Facilities Mechanical Technician, focusing on the operational support of microprocessor manufacturing plant facilities. This includes a variety of systems such as boilers, chillers, pumps, fans, chemical treatment systems, controls, SCADA systems, and other related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on diverse building and facility equipment, fixtures, and systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various plumbing, mechanical, heating, and cooling systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and execute necessary maintenance tasks.
  • Work assignments are generally routine, requiring some judgment in addressing non-standard issues.
  • Receive general instructions and review job plans for all tasks.

Specific Duties:

  • Operate, maintain, and manage minor upgrade projects on mechanical systems within the campus.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance, addressing any operational and maintenance challenges that arise.

Essential Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and compressors.
  • Experience in general industrial mechanical work, including instrument calibrations.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexity.

Administrative Competencies:

  • Engage in walking and signing no-impact permits, logging into electronic systems, coordinating tool ownership, identifying points of connection, performing equipment lock-out/tag-out procedures, and completing job close-out documentation.
