Job Description

ProSidian Consulting seeks a Geophysicist to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct geophysical surveys; analyze subsurface data; interpret geophysical information for environmental projects.
  • Design, implement, and manage all geophysical investigations required for the work effort.
  • Be the geophysicist-of-record and primary point-of-contact for technical coordination of project geophysical requirements.
  • Select the appropriate geophysical platform, sensor, and navigational technologies, geophysical data collection, and geophysics quality control programs.
  • Prepare geophysical investigation plans and reports.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of geophysical methods and equipment; experience in environmental applications.
  • College degree in geophysics, geology, geological engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Professional registration in their respective field, where applicable or available.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of directly related geophysical experience.
Skills Required
  • Data interpretation, field survey skills, proficiency in geophysical software.
  • Professional Licensure: Professional Geophysicist (P.GP) certification recommended.
Competencies Required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe).
