Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Busser/Runner at Westchester Country Club. As a key member of our dining team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our members and guests have a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up dining room tables according to club standards and communicate with the captain regarding table reservations.
  • Assist the host and management in meeting, greeting, and seating members and guests as needed.
  • Complete water service for each table, consistently monitoring and refilling as necessary.
  • Monitor tables and assist with clearing and resetting.
  • Assist the server with coffee/water service as needed.
  • Assist the server with proper clearing of courses.
  • Organize bussed dishes on service trays.
  • Sort all silverware, glassware, and china at the dishwashing station.
  • Complete additional tasks, including but not limited to restocking the side station with silverware, glassware, linen, etc.
Performance Expectations
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude throughout service.
  • Abide by all etiquette guidelines of fine-dining service.
  • Maintain a team attitude, assisting where/when needed to assure a seamless member/guest experience.
Qualification Standards

The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory, and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position.

  • High School degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Three to six months of related work experience and/or training strongly preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and operate within a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable of Hospitality/Culinary Terms.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
