Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients, including health maintenance, teaching, counseling, and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care.
- Mutually formulate outcomes with patients, significant others, and healthcare teams when appropriate.
- Effectively delegate patient care activities to coworkers with appropriate knowledge and skill levels.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to diverse patient populations.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required.
- License as a Registered Nurse required.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- 0-1 years of related work experience required.
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Decision Making: Ability to make decisions guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation.
- Problem Solving: Ability to address problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge, and skills based on general precedents.
- Independence of Action: Ability to follow precedents and procedures, set priorities, and organize work within general guidelines.
- Written Communications: Ability to summarize and communicate moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers.
- Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to medical center staff, patients, families, and external customers.
- Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices, and policies with the ability to use them in complex, varied situations.
- Team Work: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work groups by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.
- Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s).
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature, and the employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
