Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatrician to join our team at the Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps in Falls Church, VA. As a General Pediatrician and Primary Care Manager, you will be responsible for providing a full range of outpatient pediatric services to infants, children, and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in various areas of general pediatrics, including dermatology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, and more.
  • Obtain complete medical histories and perform thorough examinations for all patients.
  • Make timely referrals to specialty services as needed.
  • Complete required medical documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in Continuing Medical Education programs and Quality Assurance activities to stay current in medical knowledge and practice.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to nursing staff, nurse practitioners, and Graduate Medical Education trainees.
  • Perform inpatient pediatric services on an infrequent basis, including coverage of the Newborn Medicine Service and Pediatric Inpatient Ward.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Board certification is required in almost all cases.
  • Active, unencumbered medical license is required.
Working Environment

This position is located at Tripler Medical Center in Honolulu, HI, and requires the ability to work in a team-based clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
