Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Extruder Operator to join our team at Southwire Company LLC. As an Extruder Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating extrusion lines and related equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate extrusion lines and related equipment, including nylon extruders, coilers, pay-offs, and take-ups.
  • Monitor and control the production process to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Collaborate with production team members to achieve production goals and objectives.
  • Participate in cross-training and rotation programs to develop skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Physical ability to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and comprehend production orders and instrumentation.
Working Conditions

The Extruder Operator will work in a fast-paced production environment with exposure to water, heat, cold, dust, and fumes. The operator will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
