Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapy Specialist to join our team. In this PRN role, you will work under the direction of the Radiation Oncology Manager, executing treatment plans as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This position requires flexibility as you will be assigned to various locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and interpret treatment plans as directed by the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Provide education to patients regarding procedures, skin care, potential side effects, and nutritional guidance.
  • Monitor patients for any physical or emotional changes, as well as nutritional needs.
  • Conduct simulation procedures and prepare immobilization devices for treatment.
  • Track patient progress, adjusting treatment as necessary and coordinating with medical staff for further intervention.
  • Operate therapeutic equipment, ensuring proper patient positioning and monitoring during procedures, along with associated clerical tasks.
  • Perform daily equipment warm-up and quality assurance checks.
  • Act as a resource for the implementation of new techniques or technologies.
  • Assist in the training and evaluation of student therapists when applicable.
  • Complete and document all simulation and treatment summaries accurately.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Understanding of medical office operations and medical terminology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic locations.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • ASRT Certification is required.
  • One to two years of relevant experience is preferred.
