Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Researching and identifying security problems that can be detected using automation
• Working with internal teams to identify and mitigate security risks
• Improving organizational awareness of cybercrime TTPs and how they are used against AWS
• Developing detection prototypes for these security problems to enhance our detection capabilities
• Identifying opportunities to prevent security issues at scale
• Mentoring and developing teammates both technically and professionally

You will also have the opportunity to mentor and develop your colleagues, helping them grow professionally and technically. This role offers a challenging and rewarding experience, with opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the security and resilience of AWS services.

To succeed in this role, you should have a solid understanding of cloud computing, security engineering, and threat intelligence. You should also be proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, Ruby, Shell/Bash scripting, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Rust. Additionally, you should have 5+ years of experience in at least two of the following areas: threat intelligence, security engineering, data mining, information security, security operations/incident response, cyber-crime investigations or intelligence, fraud prevention, or cyber threat hunting.
