Health Advocates Network is actively seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Correctional Facility. This role is part of our registry program.

Shift: Multi

Compensation: $51-$57.14

Position Overview:

This is a 13-week registry assignment. To qualify for the highest compensation rate, candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year (12 months) experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • A valid and current LPN license issued by the state of Illinois.
  • A valid and current CPR certification.
  • Experience in Emergency Room, Psychiatric, Medical-Surgical, or Clinic settings.
  • Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications as prescribed.
  • Conduct health assessments.
  • Manage sick calls.
  • Provide general nursing care to patients.
  • Administer prescribed treatments in accordance with established nursing protocols.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Monitor patients, document significant conditions and reactions, and inform supervisors or physicians of any changes in patient status.
  • Measure vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure to identify deviations from normal conditions.
  • May lead a team of nursing personnel providing care to multiple patients.
  • Perform additional LPN duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
