Caregiver Associate

PACE Southeast Michigan is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Associate to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide supportive services to participants in home, community, and day health center settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Personal Care: Assist participants with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support Independence: Encourage participants to achieve maximum self-reliance and independence in their daily lives.
- Implement Care Plans: Perform tasks outlined in participants' Care Plans, including personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transportation support.
- Document Services: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services provided to participants.
- Respond to Emergencies: Respond to emergency situations following established procedures and guidelines.
- Adhere to Scope of Practice: Ensure compliance with scope of practice guidelines and regulations.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid Michigan driver's license.
- CPR Certification: Current CPR certification required.
- Experience: One year of experience working with the elderly population.
- Training: Completion of a formal training program.
- Training and Development: Participation in annual mandatory in-service training.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with participants and colleagues.
- Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills: Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Respect and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate respect for participants and colleagues, and possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse backgrounds.
- Medical Clearance: Medical clearance for communicable diseases required.
