Position Overview:

The 3D Printing Design Engineer will serve as a project coordinator at the University of California's Center for Advanced 3D+ Applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manipulate digital medical imagery and operate 3D printing devices and imaging workstations.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical teams to ensure project success.
  • Engage in post-processing, segmentation, and design tailored for 3D printing applications.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or four years of pertinent experience.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in CAD and 3D printing technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of 3D printing principles and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with image segmentation and 3D design software.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Biomedical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Python programming.
  • Understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 13485.
