Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to emergency alerts and assess the need for further assistance.
  • Notify on-call personnel as per established protocols during emergencies.
  • Contact emergency services when necessary and facilitate their access to the site.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises and ensure all security equipment is operational.
  • Secure all external access points across the campus.
  • Monitor for unauthorized individuals and address any trespassing incidents.
  • Oversee vehicle traffic and enforce traffic regulations.
  • Familiarize yourself with campus layout, equipment, and emergency systems.
  • Understand utility shut-off locations and be capable of resetting HVAC systems as needed.
  • Document and report all incidents accurately.
  • Identify safety hazards and submit maintenance requests through the designated software.
  • Assist with maintenance or housekeeping tasks as directed during emergencies.
  • Provide non-emergency assistance to residents while prioritizing security duties.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in security or a related field.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • First aid certification and experience in emergency medical response.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication with staff and residents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable to changing situations and flexible in approach.
  • For candidates in California, a valid California Security License is required.
