Bally's Dover Casino Resort is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Take orders, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu and make recommendations to guests.
- Answer guests' questions regarding the menu and make suggestions regarding food specials and soups of the day.
- Observe diner's response to any additional requests and answer any questions guests may have.
- Request identification from patrons when legal age is questioned and identify when guests need to be cut off.
- Responsible for the mixing and serving of beverages in a service station capacity to Cocktail and Food Servers in a friendly, courteous, prompt, and efficient manner.
- Collect money for drinks served and process payment according to established procedures.
- Order or requisition liquors and supplies and arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks and maintain a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Keep service area stocked with supplies and keep the work area orderly and clean.
- Maintain knowledge of the most popular mixed drinks, including the proper drink garnishes and can mix them quickly and accurately.
- Verify bar stock and prepare storeroom requisition to replenish inventory.
- Provide exceptional customer service and work safely, following all established safety rules and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, Manager, Assistant Manager, and guests and follow all relevant policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior bartender experience required, preferably in front bars.
- Must obtain ABC card prior to beginning employment.
- Must possess good communication skills and be able to report to work on time as scheduled.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights as needed and successfully pass a background check and receive a lottery license from the DE Lottery.
- Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire.
- Must be able to learn the point of sale system and basic guest service standards.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
The Bartender will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of customer interaction. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
