Alera Group is in search of a Lead Sales Strategist to join our dynamic team.

This role is primarily focused on cultivating and sustaining relationships with our broker partners within the General Agent Sales Department, encompassing all facets of sales outreach. Successful candidates will demonstrate outstanding sales acumen, customer service expertise, and exceptional communication skills to effectively address the needs of prospects and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with agents/brokers, sales support, underwriting, management, employer group contacts, and insurance company representatives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry products and services, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverages.
  • Stay informed about the competitive, regulatory, and legislative landscapes pertinent to the group health insurance sector.
  • Meet sales objectives by delivering presentations, conducting enrollments, and providing post-sale support (including renewals) tailored to client requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of group applications and necessary documentation for underwriting.
  • Assist fellow account executives and management as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Life Agent license with the California Department of Insurance is mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Comfortable engaging with diverse individuals and a strong desire to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Effective communication skills to influence and facilitate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management abilities to work efficiently under regular deadlines, with a capacity to multitask and a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in computer and smart device usage, including internet applications, SalesForce, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
