Job Summary

The Associate Aircraft Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and airworthiness of Purdue University's aircraft fleet. As an FAA-certified airframe and powerplant mechanic, this individual will perform routine maintenance and inspections to meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing maintenance and inspections on assigned aircraft
  • Assisting in recordkeeping functions related to aircraft maintenance, FAA regulations, and service bulletins
  • Maintaining ground support equipment and physical facilities
  • Providing ancillary services such as towing, ground deicing, and fueling
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years of experience in aviation maintenance
  • A Federal Aviation Administration Aircraft Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings
  • Computer literacy with MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • A valid US or Canadian driver's license
