About the Role:
As a Nursing Assistant at Nemours Children's Health, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care to our young patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the healthcare team with patient care activities, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with general activities of the patient care unit, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our patients.
- Participate in the performance of patient care activities, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Ensure an adequate stock of necessary equipment and supplies in designated areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care.
- Contribute to the overall success of our team by participating in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year patient care experience preferred.
- Ability to read and write accurately.
- Understanding of laboratory orders, computer information, and some medical terminology.
