POSITION SUMMARY

The role of Environmental Services is crucial in preventing serious infections that can persist on surfaces within a healthcare facility. Effective collaboration between infection control and environmental services (EVS) personnel minimizes the risk of disease spread in the healthcare setting.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time/Part Time

DEPARTMENT: Environmental Services

SCHEDULE: Evenings/Nights, rotating weekends and holidays

KEY ATTRIBUTES
  • Prior experience in environmental services is preferred

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Adhere to a structured schedule to complete the designated cleaning tasks; manage regulated medical waste/trash; prepare and/or sanitize conference rooms and common areas; operate mechanical floor cleaning equipment (as assigned)
  • Policy & Procedure Compliance: Follow all uniform, attendance, departmental, and organizational policies and procedures
  • Task Prioritization: Demonstrate sound judgment when managing multiple requests or responsibilities
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

The stated base pay range reflects a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time candidate. It may be adjusted in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Compensation is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
