Job Summary

At Air Products, we're seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team at our Torrance, CA facility. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in controlling and monitoring the processes to produce hydrogen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and control Water Treatment Systems, DCS monitoring systems, Rotating Equipment, Catalyst Reactors, Pneumatically Operated and Manual Valves, and Syngas Clean Up skids.
  • Work collaboratively with Mechanical Technicians, Instruments Technicians, other Operations Tech's, and Process Engineers to safely and efficiently maintain and operate the Hydrogen Plants.
  • Participate in the management of effective safety programs and contribute to a culture of safety within the organization.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts at either of the 2 facilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret piping schematics/diagrams, utilize written procedures for starting and stopping equipment, and perform Water chemistry testing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and/or military or technical background with plant process experience.
