About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Telehealth Technician/LPN to join our team at Valor Healthcare, Inc. in a Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Assist with patient care, physical examinations, and ancillary tests via telehealth modalities, including Clinical Video Teleconferencing (CVT), Care Coordination Store and Forward (CCSF), and others.
    • Oversee telehealth appointment scheduling and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts.
    • Perform annual and routine nursing assessments, including interviewing and collecting patient information, and recording information in patient's electronic medical record.
    • Administer medications, apply compresses, and observe patient reactions.
    • Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other diagnostic equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests and treatments.
  • Compliance
    • Fulfill compliance requirements of the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Joint Commission (JC), and Environment of Care (EOC) oversight.
    • Train clinic staff on usage of telehealth modalities and ensure understanding for telehealth emergencies.
    • Inventory telehealth equipment and maintain contact list for equipment issues.
  • Clinical Outcomes
    • Remain focused on achieving excellent clinical outcomes through specified VA guidelines.
    • Organize lunch and learn training for staff via CVT.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to each veteran, both in person and over the phone.
    • Establish and maintain a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere for colleagues and veterans.
  • Enrollment Growth
    • Participate in clinic outreach events to support enrollment initiatives.
    • Assist in development plan to increase Veteran participation in telehealth modalities.
    Requirements
    • Diploma or certificate of an accredited program of practical or vocational nursing.
    • Minimum one-year experience as an LPN/LVN in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting.
    • Credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
    • Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment.
    • Current certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS.
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
    • Strong computer skills, including EMR experience.
