Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join their team in Rockford, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to work in our state-of-the-art imaging department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams, maintaining equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound exams, including echocardiograms, abdominal, and musculoskeletal studies
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures and answering questions
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
  • 2+ years of experience in ultrasound imaging, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
