Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Health Nurse to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As an Associate Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our associates, while also contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide services for associates according to BSMH policies and procedures, professional standards, federal regulations, and CDC recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources partners, people managers, Infection Prevention, and Quality & Safety to ensure program success.
  • Maintain current knowledge of associate health regulations, recommendations, and accreditation standards applicable to BSMH facilities.
  • Assist BSMH managers and staff with compliance and provide input to policy/procedures, guidelines, protocols related to associate health services.
  • Participate in surveillance activities to identify associate health risks and perform surveillance on associate health records.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Health Medical Director and Infection Prevention to prevent the spread of communicable disease between patients and staff.
  • Participate in direct service delivery, including immunizations, TB screening, color discrimination testing, respirator fit testing, and communicable and blood-borne exposure management.
  • Organize testing and immunization programs, including Hepatitis B, influenza, and respirator fit testing.
  • Collaborate with managers and Absence Management Specialists for needs related to leave of absence, including FMLA, MLOA, PLOA, and ADA leave as accommodation.
  • Ensure EMR is updated to reflect patient care as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse in the state practicing
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • COHN, COHN-S, or COHN-CM preferred
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of related occupational/associate health nursing experience

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to prioritize job duties
