Job Summary:

As a PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health, you will play a critical role in administering radiopharmaceuticals to detect disease and using radiation-producing and detecting equipment under the direction of the Authorized User for PET/CT. Your responsibilities will include ensuring viable images are obtained for interpretation, performing Cat Scan studies when schedule allows, and maintaining a high level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging purposes
• Operate radiation-producing and detecting equipment, including PET/CT scanners
• Ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained for interpretation
• Perform Cat Scan studies as scheduled
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of an approved school of Radiological Technology
• Completion of an approved training program in Nuclear Medicine
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine, or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMTCB)
• Current CPR training
