Job Description

As a District Manager Trainee at Aldi, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment. This internship provides a comprehensive understanding of store operations, customer satisfaction, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily operations of a district, including store management, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with store personnel, customers, and vendors.
  • Shadow a store manager and/or manager trainee to learn the fundamental aspects of store operations.
  • Participate in store tours, customer walks, and other activities to gain a deeper understanding of the customer experience.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as payroll, sales book, and memo verification.
  • Participate in inventory management, store resets, and grand openings.
  • Take initiative to create excellent store conditions and improve store associate performance and stock efficiency.
  • Work closely with team members to develop subject matter knowledge and improve store operations.
  • Attend company/department/team trainings and meetings as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • In current pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication that enhances the growth and job performance of store personnel.
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively within a group.
  • Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Ability to display initiative and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prepares written materials to meet purpose and audience.
  • Acts as representation for others by executing delegated tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Gives attention to detail and follows instructions.
