Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our ICU unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
  • BLS certification required, ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • 1 year of RN experience, with 6 months of experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department unit preferred.
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training and Critical Care Course preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCRN, PCCN, or CCRN-BC certification.
  • Experience with life-supporting technology, such as ventilators and CRRT.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
