Job Title: Welding Technology Instructor

College of the Canyons is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Welding Technology Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of welding courses, developing curriculum, and mentoring students in the welding program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach welding courses at multiple locations, including our main and satellite campus locations.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for welding courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Mentor students in the welding program, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic and career goals.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to develop and implement program assessments and evaluations.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that support student success and faculty development.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Welding Technology or a related field, or a bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience.
  • California Community College Instructor Credential in Welding Technology.
  • Experience teaching welding courses and developing curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with online teaching and learning platforms.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and accreditation requirements for welding programs.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
