Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local, provincial, and federal regulations, and collective agreements.
  • Communicate and train employees to achieve operational excellence in manufacturing high-quality products.
  • Mentor and develop lower-level supervisors, evaluating interpersonal skills and providing feedback for improvement.
  • Schedule and assign personnel to meet manufacturing demands.
  • Assess equipment capacity and material supply to optimize manufacturing output.
  • Match employee skills with manufacturing floor requirements.
  • Monitor and track output, manufacturing processes, labor efficiencies, direct operating expenses, and quality indicators.
  • Measure performance and quality, driving positive results in operational Key Process Indicators.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with other departments to meet production schedules.
  • Meet regularly with the management team to review production results and improvement priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Technical Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Labour Laws, Conflict Resolution Management, Time Management, and strong communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to use technology, instruments, tools, and information systems.
  • Ability to lead a team, make decisions, and oversee production with minimal supervision.
  • Solid computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Availability to work off shifts as required.
