Job Summary

Ornua Ingredients North America is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Associate to join our Packaging team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our packaging equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean equipment and work areas, including the laboratory, production, and all other assigned areas, using chemical cleaning solutions, hand tools, and pressurized sanitation equipment.
  • Quality Control: Inspect sanitation work and follow up as necessary to ensure that all operating and sanitation standards have been met to ensure a safe and effective start of production and processing equipment.
  • Production Support: Assist Line Leaders with Change Overs, set up the stacking area at the start of the production shift, including the stacker table or the EZ Lift Machine, and assist with setting up and tearing down the line at the beginning and end of the production shift.
  • Labeling and Packaging: Check that the proper labeling and jet printing are on each finished package and record the number of cases and the skid number for each completed pallet.
  • Quality Assurance: Retrieve Q.A. samples and record the case number, time, and employee's initials.
  • Stacking and Storage: Stack finished goods into a container or onto a skid.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow all good manufacturing practices and demonstrate safe work habits.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalent.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Excellent team player with the ability to work well with others.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to multi-task effectively and adapt to changing situations.
