Motorsport Technician

Bosch Motorsport North America is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Motorsport Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our customers in professional motorsport series within North America.
Responsibilities:- Work directly with internal customers as a technical laboratory interface
- Technical focus on Bosch Motorsport electrical and mechanical products
- Production and maintenance of electrical and mechanical products
- Designing and building load test boxes and rack mounted testers
- Creation of test box and tester documentation
- Troubleshooting of test boxes, testers, and/or products issues
- Soldering of surface mount device (SMD) soldering from 0402 to large ICs/microcontrollers with heat slugs
- Maintain department equipment calibration
- Set up and perform electrical bench and vehicle tests
- Support logistics operations, as required
- Associates degree or 5+ years of equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience with SMD soldering, designing of test equipment, and building test equipment
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Experience in motorsport, automotive, military, or aerospace fields
- Experience with electronic lab equipment to perform required builds, troubleshooting, and testing
- Experience with electrical and mechanical product assembly
- Experience working with dynamometer
- Competency to read and understand schematics and drawings
- Creating and updating documentation
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and external suppliers
- Can manage work tasks on own without supervision
- Able to work with and manage walk-up interruptions
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to re-prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to complete all tasks with high quality
- Strong sense of personal accountability with demonstrable comfort in an entrepreneurial environment
- Self-disciplined, attentive to deadlines, and effective at time management
- Collaborative and team oriented, while also being able to work independently
- Ability to break down complex problems into distinct parts in order to manage uncertainty and to anticipate interdependencies
- Strong communication skills; clearly articulates key information in proactive manner
- Objective when presenting ideas, open to change and guided in decision-making
