The University of Southern California is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Technician to support medication management services for the Virtual Pharmacist Care Center (VPCC). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing telephonic and/or video-telehealth services to various populations served through USC School of Pharmacy partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Support pharmacist provision of telephonic and/or video-telehealth medication management services, including Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and Comprehensive Medication Management (CMM) for common ambulatory care conditions.
- Collect information for patient encounters, including allergy history, medication history, and other pertinent information.
- Contact patients using audio or video technology to reconcile medication lists, collect allergy and medical conditions, and obtain other pertinent information.
- Contact medical providers, nurses, health educators, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to support the provision of medication management services.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties, including patient recruitment, scheduling initial and follow-up encounters, and maintaining performance standards.
- Current CA Pharmacy Technician License
- Comfortable communicating with patients via telephone and/or video technology
- Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- At least two years of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in supporting clinical pharmacy services
- Spanish Fluency and/or fluency in additional languages
This position will have a direct report to the Director of Population Health and will be based at the University of Southern California. The hourly rate range for this position is $25.00.
