Job Summary

The Hanger Bale Associate is a key member of our production team at Wellmark LLC, responsible for assisting the Hanger Bale Specialist in the efficient and safe operation of our Hanger Bale machines. This role reports directly to our Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload bales from trailers and feed them onto the shredder conveyor
  • Monitor the flow of material to maintain a consistent flow to the grinder
  • Remove scrap metal Gaylords when filled, weigh and label them, and place them in designated areas
  • Monitor the aspiration system, removing waste when bags are filled, and label and place the material in designated areas
  • Adjust material flow as needed by coordinating with other personnel and monitoring the sink float system
  • Remove material after sorting, weigh, label, and place it in designated areas
  • Work with other Team Leaders to coordinate the operation of the entire separation line
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
  • Be prepared to learn all phases of the operation and assist in other areas as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to take direction and follow instructions
  • Good attendance and performance reviews
