Recreation Specialist Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Recreation Specialist to join our team at the State of Hawaii. As a Recreation Specialist, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and conducting recreation programs for correctional facilities. Your main objective will be to stimulate and sustain the interest of participants, contributing to their physical, creative, social, and cultural development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and conduct recreation programs for correctional facilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure program success.
  • Monitor participant engagement and program effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in recreation, physical education, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a correctional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
