Key Responsibilities
  • Support our policy work on a wide range of issues, including artificial intelligence and automation, worker rights frameworks for the use of emerging technology in the workplace, procurement policy, civil rights and racial justice protections, and funding requirements for government funded research;
  • Understand and work on complex policy issues;
  • Review and develop high-level policy analysis, testimony, federal advisory board documents, and legislative and regulatory documents; create written reports, materials, factsheets, and policy papers;
  • Develop materials explaining public policy positions for the labor community and other partners and stakeholders, and support our public affairs and communications initiatives;

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field;
  • Demonstrated experience in or adjacent to the labor movement;
  • Commitment to the principles and goals of the labor movement, social and economic justice, and racial equity;
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience and demonstrated success in relevant policy and advocacy areas;
  • Congressional or agency-level experience strongly preferred but not required;
