We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team at ProgressiveHealth. As an Athletic Trainer - Injury Prevention Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing proactive injury prevention services to our industrial athletes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Proactive Injury Prevention Services: Develop and implement injury prevention programs to reduce the risk of injury and improve overall worker health and safety.
- Conduct Ergonomic Assessments: Identify and assess workplace hazards and develop recommendations to eliminate or mitigate them.
- Work with Industrial Athletes: Provide one-on-one coaching and education to industrial athletes on proper lifting techniques, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with Safety Department: Work closely with the safety department to identify and address workplace hazards and develop strategies to prevent injuries.
- Document and Report: Maintain accurate records of injuries, near misses, and other workplace incidents, and provide regular reports to management and clients.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or related field, and NATABOC certification.
- State Licensure and Registration: Required state licensure, certification, and registration in good standing.
- CPR/AED Certification: Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain prior to start of employment.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in ergonomic and/or occupational health is a plus.
- Professionalism and Communication: High degree of professionalism in written and verbal communication, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
