Child Development Support Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Child Development Support Specialist to join our team. This individual will provide therapeutic and positive relationships with clients, creating structure, guidance, and accountability based on service goals and plans.
The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, effective conflict resolution skills, and time management skills at all times. They will also support the establishment and maintenance of trauma-informed, evidence-based, and data-driven practices as Miracle Houses Inc evolves as a learning organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide and maintain a caseload, providing community support and family engagement
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
- Develop and enhance interpersonal skills for clients, building self-esteem and appropriate peer interaction
- Accurately document visitation and client interactions, including significant events and behavior in daily progress notes
- Represent the agency at meetings, including court hearings, as required
- Foster safe and positive relationships with clients, providing engaging and nurturing approaches
- Cultivate an understanding of cultural diversity to better serve clients and team members
- Collaborate with leadership to develop individual crisis management plans and safety planning for each child
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals
- Teach and model healthy and safe relationships
- Administer therapeutic treatment to clients under the supervision of a Licensed Therapist
- Create and deliver activities that build and strengthen lagging skills in clients
- Share strategies with families to employ with clients in crisis situations
- Participate in family reunification and discharge planning
- Advocate for clients with special needs
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules and priorities
The estimated annual salary for this position is $50,000-$60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
