Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Exhibit a strong safety mindset while engaging in hands-on tasks.
  • Skillfully assemble and disassemble various mechanical components.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities.
  • Demonstrate proficient mechanical skills in routine operations.
  • Conduct cleaning, grinding, painting, and related tasks for buildings, equipment, components, and subassemblies.
  • Manage cleanup and disposal of waste materials such as trash, coolant, oil, and scrap.
  • Foster a courteous demeanor and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Complete Maintenance Request Forms for repairs needed in the work area.
  • Uphold a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Work with a safety-conscious attitude and report any unsafe conditions to management.

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical tools.
  • Basic mathematics skills for shop-related calculations.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with cranes, ensuring safe lifting and conducting daily inspections.
  • Forklift operation skills, including safe loading and unloading procedures.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work from bills of material, purchasing lists, and shipping documents.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to identify and resolve flow issues independently.
  • Willingness to learn and comprehend critical processes in assigned areas.
  • Resourcefulness in achieving objectives and completing tasks efficiently.
