At Ryder, we're looking for skilled professionals to join our team of experienced diesel mechanics. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles.

Job Description

We're seeking a highly qualified diesel mechanic to work on heavy-duty vehicles, focusing on refrigeration units such as Thermo King or Carrier. In this position, you'll diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair all series of truck and trailer equipment.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems
  • Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after-treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification post-secondary degree or technical certifications, preferred
  • BASIC tools, required

You should have demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines. Additionally, four years or more relevant work experience is preferred.
