JOB SUMMARY: This role is essential for the secure transportation and delivery of machinery, supplies, and materials to various job sites.

REPORTS TO: Logistics Coordinator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct daily deliveries of heavy machinery, supplies, and materials.
  • Ensure deliveries are executed safely, efficiently, and within designated timeframes.
  • Safely load, unload, and transport equipment and materials.
  • Operate vehicles in accordance with all traffic regulations.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking oil, water, and tire conditions. Report any irregularities to the supervisor.
  • Complete daily pre-and-post trip inspections with the necessary documentation.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Fulfill any other responsibilities and tasks as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of one (1) year of driving experience.

A valid NYS CDL-A is mandatory.

Tanker and hazmat endorsements are advantageous, with reimbursement available upon successful completion of the required tests.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with a wide range of construction equipment operations.
  • Ability to demonstrate proper load securement techniques.
  • Understanding of NYSDOT and FMSCA regulations is crucial for compliance.
  • Capability to comprehend and follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Capacity to concentrate and maintain focus on tasks.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing demands.

Note: Employment offers are contingent upon passing a DOT Physical, drug screening, background checks, and driver's license verification. Candidates must maintain satisfactory results throughout their employment with Power & Construction Group, Inc. This is a non-management, full-time position.
