We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at Theoria Medical. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our residents in skilled nursing facilities across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day-to-day resident care at each facility.
- Provide comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients residing in SNFs.
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute illness, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes.
- Document patient care in our proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasy.
- Participate in our Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other medical quality initiatives and programs.
- Supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physicians assistants.
- Utilize electronic/online medical tools, such as EHR systems and state/county medical systems, for administrative functions.
- Active license to practice medicine in your state.
- DEA license (or willingness to apply for one).
- Certification through your professional association (e.g. ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, ABIM, etc).
- Eligibility to enroll and bill Medicare and Medicaid.
- Doctor of Medicine degree.
- Ability to travel (percentage of time willing to travel for work).
