We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Supervisor. Job SummaryThe Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for organizing, overseeing, and supervising assigned unit activities and staff assignments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical expertise consistent with established standards of nursing practice and identify and respond to patient needs in a timely and appropriate manner.
Responsibilities- Monitor and observe patient vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses.
- Administer medications and treatments as needed.
- Communicate and direct services to appropriate team members, residents, family, or medical staff as needed.
- Identify and follow disciplinary action as stated in policy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and other vendors/services.
- Perform RN assessment to resident's post-incidents or change in condition.
- Lead and direct emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census roster.
- Current and good standing RN License in State of New York.
- Previous experience with geriatric/short-term rehabilitation/Alzheimer's patients is desirable.
- Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident.
- Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents.
- Have patience and willingness to assist any residents and co-workers.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organization skills.
- Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff.
