Distribution Center Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our talent acquisition, talent management, associate relations, development, and associate engagement efforts in our Distribution Center. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, building partnerships, and being responsive to the needs of associates, local leadership, region/SSC leadership, other DCs, and store partners.
Key Responsibilities- Execute HR initiatives and processes in a timely and high-quality manner within the DC, providing guidance to the DC Management group.
- Facilitate all staffing responsibilities of the DC, in partnership with the DC Management team, ensuring compliance with Home Depot's direct employer/associate relationship philosophy.
- Protect and maintain Home Depot's direct employer/associate relationship in the DC, proactively communicating the company's philosophy through education, communication, and understanding of related issues and laws.
- Assure excellent associate relations practices in the DC, resolving associate problems/issues quickly, using consistent communication methods, fair treatment, and respect for all people, and consistent application of Home Depot's policies and programs.
- Understand and ensure Home Depot's application and protection of all current employment laws (EEO, Wage & Hour, Labor, ADA, FMLA), following investigations through to appropriate completion and keeping accurate and complete documentation on all issues.
- Determine needs and assist in the development, implementation, and delivery of knowledge management and learning programs to enhance career development for all hourly associates in the DC, assisting the RHRM in managing and monitoring leadership development, succession planning, and the HR Review process.
- Work with RHRM and peer HRMs on project management and support Supply Chain efforts.
- Typically reports to Regional Human Resources Manager.
- Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others, planning, monitoring, and reviewing work of subordinates, making recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal, and professional development.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Working ConditionsLocated in a comfortable indoor area, with occasional need to move or lift light articles.
Minimum Qualifications- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- B.S. degree in Business, HR Management, Psychology preferred.
- If no degree, at least 3 years of progressive HR Generalist experience required.
- Excellent follow-up skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills coupled with distinct organizational skills.
- Current and up-to-date knowledge of all laws relating to HR Management, maintaining a high level of knowledge of HD SOP's, HD Benefit Policies, etc.
- Strong relationship building and partnering skills, excellent skills in associate relations, and ability to be flexible.
- Strong skills in investigating, ADR, learning, performance management, and team building.
