Job Summary:The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting assessments and determining care priorities through planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Developing and coordinating individualized care plans for patients based on initial and ongoing assessments.
- Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care.
- Documenting care following standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocating for evidence-based practice and supporting innovations in care delivery.
- Providing patient-centric care in line with professional nursing models.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 3+ years of experience in LDRP care, including OR circulation for C-sections, baby care, and management of patients on Magnesium Sulfate.
Required Certifications and Licensure:Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
Preferred Certifications and Licensure:Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced AWHONN or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM).
Language:English (Speak, Read, Write)
